Street Theater Marketing and the Naked Cowboy

By Cathy Stucker Several major corporations have launched a new type of advertising campaign. They hire actors, musicians and other performers to promote their products and services on the streets of major cities. The promotion may be obvious, such as musicians singing songs about cell phone use on street corners, or it may be more subtle (perhaps even slightly deceptive). In either case, the idea is to bring marketing to customers in different, unexpected ways. A cell phone company hired actors to pose as tourists at several New York attractions, and ask passers-by to take their pictures with a new phone. Other actors took the phones to hot nightspots and other locations. These actors did not identify themselves as actors or marketers, and the people they encountered may have believed they were simply customers using the new phone. Although the technique used in this case was considered by many to be deceptive, the idea of using performance to sell is not necessarily wrong. Another cell phone company hired musicians to stand on street corners and in other high-traffic areas and sing songs about using cell phones safely and courteously. In that case, it was clearly a marketing message, but delivered in a unique and entertaining way. Of course, this isn’t limited to the big guys. This is a form of guerilla marketing that can be done on a small budget, too. The Naked Cowboy has used street performances to attract lots of attention for his singing career. Although he hasn’t had a hit record, he does have a web site where you can hear his songs, view his photos, and buy products (including a CD, t-shirts and more). Use your imagination to develop a piece of street theater that will ethically create positive buzz about your business. Your goal may be to attract a crowd to hear your sales message, get media attention or simply create greater awareness of your company and products. Copyright Cathy Stucker. The Art of Diecast Collecting

By Robert Benjamin Collecting diecast vehicles consists of acquiring specific items based on your particular interests, such as airplanes, cars, trains, ship models, etc. Although some people just accumulate them, this is a passionate hobby for most folks, in which the genuine collector organizes carefully those items to catalog them and proudly display them. The depth and breadth of every collection is as unique as every collector is, and they are the ones that determine if a collection will focus on a specific subtopic within their area of general interests or if they only want to accumulate determined items. As an example, a collector may collect diecast vehicles trying to accumulate any or all of them, while another individual could prefer collecting only a model, brand or marquee. Diecast vehicles and toys are an example of a collection that is never-ending. When you start collecting these vehicles it is like traveling back in time until the early decades of the 20th century when manufacturers such as Tootsie Toys in the United States, or Dinky Toys in the United Kingdom first produced the first diecast toys. Because the term “diecast” refers to any product produced using the casting method, the first models on the market were small cars or vans without plastic windows. Over time, the vehicles were made of plastic and metal, more commonly an alloy of zinc and aluminum, including not only cars but also scale models of airplanes and trains, although automobiles are still the favorites among all of them. With more than 50 popular brands including Altaya, Bandai, Brooklin, CMC, Dragon Wings, Exoto, Guisval, Ixo, Jada, Johnny Ligntning, Kyosho, Lledo, Matchbox, Minichamps, Norev, Plasticos Argentinos, Racing Champions, RCCA, Revell, Tekno, Tomica, UT Models, Vitesse, and the popular Hot Wheels introduced by Mattel, among others. Like with other popular collecting fields, diecast collecting has specialized commercial dealers that trade vehicles and related accessories. In fact, many individuals start collecting cars as a hobby to become dealers at a later date, either turning this hobby into a profession, or as a means to get extremely rare vehicles for their own collections, while they help other collectors in their pursuit of showcase-model cars. In the United Kingdom, there are teams specialized in visiting small and larger toy fairs to acquire incredible cars, in good conditions from Dinky Toys and Corgi, the main British collectibles companies. Dinky Toys was first introduced in early 1934 by Meccano Ltd of Liverpool, England, presenting a new line of modeled miniatures, as diecast vehicles were first known. Corgi Toys began producing scale model cars until July 1956 under the supervision of Mettoy Playcraft Ltd. in Swansea, Wales, along with Dinky Toys, and the American Tootsie Toys, which is one of the most wanted brands of collectors worldwide. However, there are many other popular manufacturers from the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, etc. Rarely a diecast collector completes a collection because new models of cars are always available, and collecting never stops, you can always expand or start an entirely new collection in a subtopic, such as cars, then sport cars, vans, etc. From Hot Wheels to Matchbox and from Bandai to Tomica, including all the other brands, diecasts models include popular automobile marques. Packard, MG, Morris, Hillman, Austin, Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Citroen, Opel, Triumph, Talbot, Gwynne, Vauxhall, Reliant, Singer, Bristol, Wolseley, Innocenti, Healey, Siddeley, BSA, Darracq, Crossley, Jowett, Frazer Nash, Northern, Renault, Ford, Chrysler, and the classics Jaguar, Mercedes Benz and Rolls Royce, just to name a few. Broadening a collection is not that hard, even when focusing on a single marquee, because there are different models from the twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, etc. Hence, every diecast Collector has a world of possibilities when gathering diecast models from almost any period of time as early as models from 1885, when the first automobile driven by internal combustion was introduced by German inventor Karl Friedrich Benz, to actual models in modern car showcases. Diecast vehicles come in various scales, the most popular ranging from 1:28 to 1:64 scale, although many collectors prefer focusing their collections on the 1:43 and 1:50 scales. Diecast toys were originally designed for children, but the collecting boom started during the 1950′s when grown children stated to keep their cars instead of throwing them away and adults discovered them as valuable collectible items. There is computer software that is made just for collecting diecast vehicles. Anyone who has a small or large diecast vehicle collection can easily keep track of what vehicle they have, the color, condition, cost, value, scale and lots of other info for each record (vehicle). This is the most easiest to use software of it’s kind, and it is made 100% for diecast collecting. The software is described in detail and you can download a free demo version of it at this website address: http://www.rb59.com/diecast Copyright 2006 Robert W. Planting Hydrangeas For Late Season Color

By Tim Hallinan A common complaint among gardener is that late in the summer, before the fall foliage, there seems to be lull in garden color. There is, however, no shortage of shrubs which bloom in later in the season. Hydrangeas are one the most versatile. In fact, they are indispensable in the garden for summer color and foliage texture. No shrub border is complete without them. Hydrangeas prefer part shade and rich organic soil. They prefer morning sun with afternoon shade; this will protect them from the hottest part of the day. If they get shade in the morning and sun in the afternoon they may look stressed due to the sudden rise in temperature. Hydrangeas need lots of water especially young plants since they tend to dry out quickly during the hot weather. After planting be sure to mulch well, this will help the soil retain moisture as well as help prevent weeds from encroaching on your garden. Fertilize the shrubs in the spring and then again in late summer. Adding compost to the soil around the base of the hydrangea each spring will keep the soil rich. Lacecap and nikko blue hydrangeas are both cultivars of (Hydrangea macrophyllla). Lacecaps are recognized by its ring of flowers surrounding a center of florets and nikko blue by it large pom-pom like flowers. You can change the color of the blossoms of these varieties by changing the acidity of the soil. Add aluminum sulfate to make the soil acid. A pH level somewhere between 5 and 5.5 will result in blue flowers. Alternately, for pink flowers, make raise the pH level to 6.0 by adding lime, making the soil alkaline. You will need to repeat the this 2 or 3 times over the growing season and continue the process for as long as you want the change to continue. The large (up to 15″ long) white flowers of the PeeGee hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculta) turn to a faded pink in the fall and are great for cutting and taking indoors. Because their large flowers often weigh down its stems, PeeGee hydrangeas require staking. Oak Leaf Hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia) has a much different appearance than the other hydrangeas. Its foliage resembles that of the American oak. Its white blooms fade to pink in fall. Oakleaf hydrangeas grow to about 6′ and can tolerate more shade than other hydrangeas. Climbing hydrangea (Hydrangea petiolaris) is a deciduous vine which clings to garden structures, walls and fences with aerial roots. Its flowers are white and have the characteristics of the lacecap hydrangea. Though there are numerous choices when it comes to types of hydrangeas, there are some general rules of thumb to follow when planting and caring for them. When planting new hydrangeas you’ll need to add a mix of compost and peat moss to the existing soil. This will give the plant plenty of nutrients and the soil ability to retain water. Dig a hole approximately twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the hydrangea in the hole, making sure the top of the root ball matches the existing grade of the garden. Never install any plant below grade, its often detrimental to the health of the plant. Backfill about half way and water to remove air pockets. Finish filling the hole, water again and mulch. Planting in the spring or fall is best as the hot summer weather can stress hydrangeas. In the spring prune broken branches and old flower blooms from the previous season. Don’t prune new shoots; they are where the new blooms will be. Prune in late summer, after blooming. Thinning the plant by reducing its number of stems by half will yield larger flower clusters. Noted for their long lasting, late blooming flowers and their unique foliage, hydrangeas are one of the most versatile shrubs in the garden. Whether among a shrub border, climbing a garden structure or planted on its own as a specimen shrub hydrangeas are a wonderful addition to any garden. Online Dating-Get Noticed With a Great Picture

By Jack Strom One of the downsides to using Online Dating Services is that it can seem a bit overwhelming at times. Since there are tens of thousands of members on some services, many people feel they’re getting lost in the crowd. They’re profile doesn’t seem to get much notice, and they’re not talking to many people either. Usually this is fairly easy to correct though. One of the biggest reasons and online dating profile might not get noticed much, is because it’s missing a picture. Statistics show that online dating profiles which include one or more pictures will get looked at ten times more than profiles which don’t have pictures. Now, having a picture is only half the battle. Any picture helps yes, but the better your pictures are, the more success you will have getting your profile noticed. So let’s look at some dating picture profile tips… 1. The picture should be of you. This might seem like an obvious statement, but some people actually put up pictures of cartoon characters, their kids, or their pets instead of themselves. 2. Try to find a recent picture. There’s nothing worse than finding out the real person doesn’t match the picture they’ve posted in their online dating profile. It doesn’t matter that you looked younger, the picture was good, or you were 30 pounds lighter then. When you meet people from an online dating service, they will feel as if you lied to them or tricked them when you look nothing like what they’ve been seeing in your picture all this time. 3. A close up picture of your face is best. Prospective dates and romantic partners want to know what you look like, and this is easiest to see with close up portraits. If you’ve posted a picture in your dating profile that shows you standing on a mountain, they’re not going to be able to see much detail. 4. Multiple pictures are best. Try to pick online dating services which allow you to post more than one picture in your profile. This way you’re able to have a wonderful close up portrait for drawing interest, and you’re able to show your body shape and size if you feel that’s important, plus you can have pictures of yourself having fun and doing activities you enjoy. This will bring in much more attention from people who have the same interests, and makes conversation starting much easier too. 5. Try to avoid pictures of you with other people. This is especially important if the other people are ex partners, but you shouldn’t post pictures of yourself with your kids either. You are the one looking for a date, not the kids. 6. Don’t try to “fix” a bad picture. Putting up a picture of you with an ex lover scribbled or cut out is messy and unappealing. Don’t do it. 7. If you don’t have a nice, recent picture of you by yourself, get one made. You can go all out with a glamour style photo shoot – yes both men and women look fabulous with these kinds of pictures – or you can simply go to a local studio and get inexpensive, professional shots made. If you are serious about finding romance and love with online dating services, you’ll quickly find that the attention your profile gets because of the pictures will be more than worth the time and cost to get them made. Internet Dating – Your Digital Online Dating Hookup

By Richard Keir It’s a funny world we live. Yesterday I asked a friend whether she’d ever think about – or actually try – internet dating as an alternative to wasting so much time in single’s bars every weekend. She looked at like I was from some other planet and just asked if I would try it. When I said yes. She looked at me like I was from some even stranger place. To her, internet dating is for the way too desperate who are too insecure to face real people in a bar. OK, true, a few years ago online dating was a kind of social taboo. And you do need to use your head even now. But dating online has changed the dating scene all over the world. Face it, if you’re a working adult (and who isn’t these days), you may not have a lot of interest in going through all the bs and games that seems to be built into the meat market singles bar scene. You may want a more straightforward approach to finding someone compatible who you can truly love (and vice versa). If you’re tired of the old time traditional approach, you may want to take a serious look at internet dating. You may not be really aware of it, but the predecessor to online dating was actual putting personal ads in newspapers. And it did carry a big stigma. But let me share a true story. Once upon a time, I checked out a personal ad in a local alternative newspaper. It was an interesting experience. We knew almost nothing about each other – not even what we each looked like. She was very well educated, but we had, unfortunately, nothing in common. One of the advantages of internet dating is that you can learn much more about each other before committing to actually meet. In the those days, people seemed to believe that anyone who put a personal ad in a newspaper was a) terminally ugly, b) terminally desperate, or c) totally psycho. Now look what’s happened. Time has passed, technology has advanced and there are probably thousands of online dating sites. So while it is more socially acceptable, dating online still carries a kind of negative response and suppressed snickers from those who just don’t get it. look at some of the potential benefits: 1) It can be safe When you go through an internet dating site, you remain anonymous until you decide to provide more details. None of your specific personal contact details will be handed out unless you decide to give it out. 2) You have significant security If an online courtship has gone seriously awry or gotten all weird, or if the person you are talking to has turned out to be something way different then advertised, just drop him or her. And if they won’t get let go, go ahead and flag them – report them to site webmaster. Kazaam, they’re gone. Since they don’t have a clue how to find you, you’re safe. 3) Cheaper than a bar, for sure – it’s free – Free is pretty good, right? Most online dating sites will allow you to sign up and log on, without a fee. Is that better than wasting money on buying somebody drinks? 4) Choice – lots of choice – This one factor is incredible. We’re talking single’s heaven, here. You think a single’s bar is crowded on Friday night? You’ll be blown away by the number of singles signed up and looking for love on the internet. Say you are incredibly lucky and you find 2, maybe even 3 possibles in a singles bar. On line you could well find a hundred. Even a thousand or more to choose from. ? 5) It saves you money and time – the traditional approach is a little limiting unless you have wads of cash to blow on drinks, dinners, movies and are lucky too. Or, if you aren’t the one paying, you’re still investing time – and time is all any of us really have. Fairly often, in the end, all the time and money spent leaves you just where you started. Going back to the bar. Again. But with internet dating, you can date more than one person at time without investing a lot of money or time. Don’t you think that could really boost your chances of making the right connection, the one you’re looking for? 6) And what about rejection – it’s gone – Have you ever introduced yourself to a girl or meet a guy and thought, this is great. Only to get dumped on or shut down nearly immediately. It’s happened to everyone. And it’s one of the things we all fear. Rejection. On the internet, you make contact via email and it’s a lot less painful if the response is negative. I mean, who cares, there are another thousand out there. 7) Oddly enough in internet dating honesty really is the best policy – Unlike traditional dating where you’re all running around trying to impress each other. Slinging lines and posing, on the internet being real works a whole better. Online dating works best when both parties are honest. Sure you need to know how to talk with people, but if you construct your profile by being honest and you interact the same way, then there’s no reason for a lot of foolish fakery and hiding out. You can be who you really are and you can find people who respond to the real you. Sure, nothing is certain in life. You can get burned in internet dating too. But you have a lot more alternatives, a lot more choices and a lot of ways to find out whether you really want to go ahead and get in direct contact with someone. This is an area where technology is bringing new and better possibilities into our lives. Don’t be shy – check it out. What Does Speed, Time and Distance Have to Do with My Car Accident Case?

By Gerry Oginski Everything. In order to evaluate liability, a trial lawyer must be able to figure out your speed, the time it took to arrive at the accident point and the distance you travelled from one point to another. We only need two out of the three elements to figure out the third. For example, if you travelled 100 feet in 10 seconds, we can easily calculate your speed. If you were travelling at 50 miles per hour, and you drove 1/4 mile, we can calculate exactly how long it took for you to travel that distance. Speed, time and distance are crucial in determining liability in your case. What do you think the outcome would be in a case if you didn’t exactly know your speed, and you testified that you were travelling at 10 miles per hour, and it took you 2 minutes to travel 100 feet. Obviously, the numbers you recall or estimate are not accurate because they are totally inconsistent with physics. Keep in mind that it’s not always crucial for you to know exactly all the details involved in your accident. There are usually other witnesses involved who can add to whatever information you have. Anyway, when your credibility is at stake, you must tell the truth, and understand that while driving you are not looking to calculate speed, time and distance in anticipation of a pending accident or lawsuit. Attorney Oginski has been in practice for 17 years as a trial lawyer practicing exclusively in the State of New York. How To Get A Serious Relationship – Using Rejection To Pave The Way To TRUE Success

By C. Hopkins Most men aren’t skillful or successful when it comes to meeting and dating women and having a serious relationship. There are two main reasons for not attaining a serious relationship: they don’t get out there and sell themselves, meet women and make connections. And when, once in every blue moon, they do try to have a serious relationship with a girl, they fall flat on their faces, not knowing how to handle the situation, the conversation, the interaction and attraction. There’s a single word that ties these two reasons for failure to have a serious relationship together, it’s rejection. Men who would love to meet and date a beautiful girl and have a serious relationship choose not to go out and actually try to make it happen, on the most part, because of a deep-seated fear of rejection. They hate the idea that instead of a serious relationship they might get shot down and embarrassed. And they know that if they try their hardest and STILL get rejected, they definitely have no hope with women, now or ever. So, they prefer to stay at home with the vague ambition that one day they might make something happen. On the other hand, there are men out there that do try to meet and get together with girls and have a serious relationship – and, unfortunately, they get rejected every now and then. Once it’s happened a couple of times, those serious relationship brush-offs take their toll on the guy: his confidence dwindles, his sense of humor begins to fade, and most noticeably, his motivation vanishes. He becomes like 80% of the rest of the male population: a serious relationship dreamer and not a serious relationship do’er. The first thing you need to do is recognize the POSITIVE function rejection serves. You need to define it in your mind the serious relationship rejection. What is it and what does it mean? Serious relationship rejection often comes in the following forms: Serious relationship rejection form # 1. You’ve been talking to a girl for a while and things seem to be going well but when you ask to see her again or suggest swapping numbers she suddenly freezes up on you and shuts you out. Serious relationship rejection form #2. You try to get talking to a girl but she only gives you the minimal amount of recognition possible and doesn’t allow you to start a real conversation. Serious relationship rejection form #3. You’ve been on a couple of dates with a girl but have yet to take it further. When you try to progress the relationship, she clams up and becomes distant and seemingly uninterested. Whatever type of serious relationship rejection you’ve experience or fear the most, you need to fully recognise what it is. It’s a sign that one or more components of your serious relationship game – that is, your ability to be successful with women – isn’t functioning correctly. It’s like a flashing red light in a submarine, it’s telling you something ain’t right and, most importantly, that you need to DO something to fix it. That’s the key point most men consistently miss about a serious relationship – they think being rejected is the end of the line, game over. In fact, it’s simply a changing of the tracks on your path to success. So don’t take serious relationship rejection too hard…it is only a minor roadblock that is easily bypassed. Understanding Survey Software Features

By Nick Hill If you take a look at the features that different survey softwares offer, you will quickly realize that understanding all of them is no mean task. But it is very important that you do because only then you can choose the right survey software. It is important for one other reason, it determines your price. More features invariably means more dollars. So if you don’t choose the right survey software, you might end up paying more for features you don’t need. While it is impossible and not even worthwhile to look at all the features, here is a look at some of the important ones. Chances are that these are the ones will make or break your decision. The features have been divided into 6 categories based on their function in the process of conducting an online survey. Survey creation Images, sounds, video – This allows you to insert images, sounds, and videos in your surveys, and can enhance the appearance of your surveys. However, use it only when necessary since it increases the time it takes to download and display your survey, and certainly don’t overdo it. Question library, response library, sample surveys – These allow you to create surveys quickly since you don’t have to create them from scratch. They are a must if you do a lot of surveys regularly. And they don’t impact the price that much, so you might as well opt for them. Skip logic – This allows you to skip questions depending on the answers to previous questions. Most survey softwares allow either AND or OR logic to decide whether to skip or not, but some allow a combination of any logical conditions. It might sound like a “nice-to-have” feature rather than a “must-have”, but you will be surprised how often you need to skip questions in your surveys. Data piping – This allows you to use the answers to some questions in the following questions. This is a very neat feature and it allows you to “personalize” your surveys. For e.g., you can say “Thanks Steve” instead of only “Thanks” if you know that the name of the respondent is Steve from a previous question. It also allows you to ask questions like “What do you like most about Coke?” when the respondent has selected Coke as his/her favorite drink in the previous question. Advanced survey creation features (spell check, auto-correct, thesaurus, import from MS Word) – These are fairly advanced features and not really required in most cases, especially if you don’t do surveys regularly. You can spend the time to spell check the survey yourselves. However, if you do a lot of surveys, then you might want these features. But they will impact the price quite a lot since they are considered as “premium” features. Branding (your logo and background color) – This allows you to place your company logo and use your company website’s background color for your surveys. This is good enough in most cases, but not if you are looking to customize each and every aspect of the survey. It is quite an important feature since it gives your respondents the feeling that they are still on your website. Advanced survey presentation features (pre-designed editable survey templates, new templates, full-customized look) – These are fairly advanced features and allow you to customize almost every aspect of the survey. Survey softwares do this in a variety of ways: they have pre-designed editable templates, ability to create new templates, or create surveys with a full-custom look. These features are also considered as “premium” features and will impact the price quite a lot. Survey Distribution and Tracking Handheld device – This allows you to distribute your surveys on hendheld devices. This method of distributing is not as common as the other methods like placing link on website, embedding entire survey in websites, sending email invitation with link, or embedding entire survey in emails and newsletters. But it is definitely becoming popular because of the convenience it offers for taking surveys “on the road”. As of now though, it is considered as a “premium” feature and will impact the price. Track respondents – These allow you to track your respondents after they receive your email invitations. The simpler ones allow you to maintain an email list and send email invitations to all or some email addresses in the list. The more complex ones allow you to create an “audience” from the list in a variety of ways. They also allow you to track who read your email invitation and clicked on what links, who took the survey and who didn’t, send reminders to the ones who didn’t, etc. All these complex tracking activities fall more under the realm of “campaign management” than conducting surveys though. If you need these features, you are much better off going for a full-blown campaign management solution than a survey solution with half of what you need. Taking Survey Password protected surveys – This allows you to protect your surveys with a password. The respondents have to know the password to be able to take the survey. Save and continue later – This allows your respondents to save the survey and continue later. It is a very good feature to have especially if your surveys are going to be long. Some survey softwares make the respondents explicitly save a link and bookmark it to continue later. These don’t work that well compared to some others that don’t require the respondents to do as much. Response validation – This allows you to validate the responses your respondents enter. These features are very important since they ensure that your respondents enter “valid” responses and increases the quality of the results. Always prefer survey softwares that have more types of response validation. Respondent uniqueness control – This allows you to ensure that a respondent takes the survey only once. There are a few ways to do this and not all of them are “full-proof”. If you want to strictly enforce respondent uniqueness, make sure that the survey software allows you to send unique URLs to every email recipient. It is the only “full-proof” method of enforcing respondent uniqueness. Response Collection Email notification upon response submission – This allows you to get email notifications when a respondent completes a survey. It is the only way to get the responses with survey softwares that don’t store them in a database. But it is also offered as an addon by those that do store them in databases. Survey Analysis Graphical reports – This allows you to graph the results and not all survey softwares have this feature. If you like to see results in neat-looking graphs, make sure that the survey software has this feature. Check out the sample reports; most companies have them on their website. Or better yet, try out the product and generate them yourselves! Advanced analysis features (cross-tabulation, sub-set analysis, 360 degree feedback, etc) – These allow you to perform advanced analysis on the results. Cross-tabulation allows you to relate the responses of one question to those of another. Sub-set analysis allows you to perform analysis on a sub-set of the responses by filtering out certain responses. These are definitely “premium” features and will impact the price. Export data – This allows you to export the responses so you can do analyses in your favorite tool, like Excel or SPSS. Make sure that the survey software has this feature, especially if it doesn’t natively support the advanced analyses that you want to do. Report Distribution Save in PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint format – This allows you to save the report in one of the mentioned formats. It is a very convenient feature to have if you are going to distribute your report a lot. A Guide to Brochure Printing

By Max Bellamy Brochure printing can be easy if you first identify your needs and have a clear sense of your budget. Whether it is for is a real estate listing, a trade show handout, a data sheet, or another application, brochures are a great promotional tool. Start with a layout that includes the text and images you will need to convey your message. Then choose the type of printing that best suits your brochure. Brochures are typically printed in more than one color. There are two basic choices in printing: offset printing and laser or digital printing. Both printing processes are capable of producing large quantities of high-quality documents. Most high quality, full-color commercial printing is done on offset presses using the four-color process. Offset printing is a process whereby ink is spread on a metal plate with etched images, is transferred to an intermediary surface, and is then applied to paper by pressing the paper against the intermediary surface. Although set-up costs can be relatively high, the actual printing is generally inexpensive. Laser or digital printing uses a laser beam to produce an image; this is also the way copy machines work. Offset printing usually produces clearer, crisper type and higher resolution images than laser or digital printing. However, smaller printing jobs can be done on a small low-volume laser or inkjet printer, or at a copy store, thereby eliminating set-up fees and some shipping costs. Choosing paper is another very important aspect of brochure printing. Most printers will recommend a heavyweight, coated, or glossy paper to achieve a more vibrant, upscale look. The folding of your brochure is another key consideration. Basic folding options include: the half fold or single fold, the tri fold (the left and right flaps open), and the Z fold (which opens up like an accordion). Almost all printers will give you a greater discount the more you print. Brochure printing can be easy and fun and allow for a good deal of self-expression, so go ahead, what are you waiting for? Print that brochure. Brochure Printing Info provides detailed information about cheap, color, and full color brochure printing services, and advice on finding a brochure printing company and quote.
